Coffee & Company

Is a Soulful Studies initiative to help foster healthy, supportive conversations about homeschooling. We hope to build and support our local homeschooling community with child free time to recharge, get/share ideas, and find friends while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee! Come by, grab a coffee or just join us to say 'Hello'. No reservations needed, no cost (except the cost of your cup of coffee), no pressures! Mark your calendars for the 3rd Saturday of every month and meet us at Devout Coffee, an artisan coffee shop run by a homeschooling family and their grown homeschooled children!

apple fall festival

Every year hundreds of families enjoy an old fashioned fall celebration at Garin Park, in Hayward and this year we would love to share this tradition with you! The spirit of Garin's apple orchards live on in the antique apple varieties cultivated in remnants of the old apple orchards. The late-summer Garin Apple Festival celebrates the farm's apple-growing tradition. Antique apple varieties grown in the orchards may be tasted in the flesh and as juice. Folk music, song, and old-fashioned games fill out the day. The Garin Barn Visitor Center will have a working blacksmith shop, a tool shop and several ranching-related displays to explore. An interesting collection of antique farm machinery outside the barn augments the display.

This year Garin's Apple Festival takes place on Saturday, Sept 12th, 2015 and the event is free!!! Parking costs $5 and Soulful Studies is planning a potluck picnic lunch to add to the fun! If you wish to attend, then please pick a potluck item and sign up below. We hope to see you and your family there!
